How long is the service life of the heating element in the high-temperature sintering furnacePublished by:2024-12-10 Categories:Company News Viewed by: 65 times The heating elements of the high-temperature sintering furnace are mainly resistance wires, silicon carbon rods, and silicon molybdenum rods! Commonly used high-temperature box type sintering furnaces Generally speaking: Resistance wire: It can usually be used for 500 to 1000 hours, depending on the operating temperature and frequent thermal cycles. Silicon carbon rod: Its service life at high temperatures is usually 2000 to 4000 hours, but it may be shortened under high temperature and high load conditions. Silicon molybdenum rod: usually has a long service life of about 3000 to 5000 hours, suitable for high-temperature sintering. The following is an introduction to three types of heating elements: service life: With proper use and maintenance, the lifespan of resistance wires typically ranges from several hundred to several thousand hours, especially within the typical operating temperature range (generally not exceeding 1000 ℃). For example, in some small experimental equipment or ordinary heating devices, the service life of high-quality resistance wires may exceed 1000 hours. Influencing factors: The lifespan of resistance wires is influenced by multiple factors, including temperature fluctuations, oxidation environment, and duration of electrification. Frequent temperature changes may accelerate its aging and fracture. 2. Silicon carbide rod service life: Under normal usage conditions, the service life of silicon carbide rods can typically reach thousands of hours, or even longer. In general, a suitable temperature range (not exceeding 1300 ℃), stable atmosphere environment, and reasonable installation and use methods can help extend its service life. For example, in some industrial kilns, the service life of well maintained silicon carbide rods can reach 5000 hours or longer. Influencing factors: The lifespan is affected by the operating temperature, environmental atmosphere (especially oxidizing atmosphere), and the number of heating and cooling cycles. If the atmosphere inside the furnace is not suitable (such as the presence of corrosive gases), the temperature fluctuates too much, frequent start stop, or silicon carbon rods with large differences in resistance are used in series, their service life may be shortened. Silicon carbon rods are susceptible to moisture and therefore require proper storage. Adverse factors during use can also affect its lifespan. 3. Silicon molybdenum rod service life: Silicon molybdenum rods have good high temperature resistance, and their service life is usually between thousands to tens of thousands of hours at normal operating temperatures (generally not exceeding 1600 ℃). Under appropriate atmosphere (such as oxidizing atmosphere) and low temperature control, the service life of silicon molybdenum rods may reach 8000 hours or even longer. Influencing factors: If the usage environment is harsh, such as the presence of harmful components in the atmosphere (such as hydrogen gas reducing the silicon dioxide protective film on its surface at high temperatures), temperatures exceeding the allowable limit, or frequent and drastic temperature changes, it may cause premature damage to the silicon molybdenum rod. Silicon molybdenum rods have good oxidation resistance at high temperatures, but may be fragile at low temperatures, so caution should be taken during operation. |
